The construction areas have long been intended for industry- and storage area, and this type of business is still being run in the area. Currently, there's a varied business sector in Nyborg, it consists of: commerce, some construction, business related service provision, and industry. This is an attractive commercial area, it has its own shopping mall as well as Norway's largest IKEA store. There are plans to significantly expand the area.
Mindemyren commercial area is located within biking distance of Bergen city center. Mindemyen is going through a significant change from industry, storange and transportation, to becoming characterized by commerce and office businesses (including business related service provision, real estate and data). The area is under development, and it is suggested that it be expanded by 50,000 m2. This area will be used primarily for industry involving business and offices.
The commercial area consists of different businesses. Transport/storage, construction, and merchandise are the main ones, though there is also real estate, industries, and more. A grocery store with a post office is close by. Fagerdalen has good parking and car accessibility, the drive to Bergen city center is 10 minutes. A part of the area that isn't developed yet is within walking distance of a public transportation terminal in the intersection by Sotravegen.
