Fedje is Norway’s most western county. It is about a one and a half hour drive from Bergen which is the closest city. In Fedje there are plenty of opportunities for a selection of outdoor activities, both on sea and on land. New establishments are most welcome, and the county focuses strongly on a close collaboration between entrepreneurs and societal developers to reach constructive results. Together with the business sector, the municipality has established a business forum for operators who need guidance in business matters.
In Rongsvågen there has previously been a herring-oil and -meal factory. There are a few day tanks for diesel amongst other things, and a license for the storage of drilling waste from the North Sea has been obtained. Plans recreational facilities and marina - status unclear.
